Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not: But we have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.  2Corinthian 4: 1, 2

As Men and Women of God, As Trustees, our call to serve is to be stamped with his word and filled with the Holy Spirit; we enter this responsibility with humility and sincerity. We will be guided by the word of God and his will.

As Men and Women of God, As Trustees, we must love the church, the people of God.

As Men and Women of God, As Trustees, we have been charged by the church as Christ's ministers to carry on the external affairs of the church but with the approval of the Eternal and the power of the Internal Holy Spirit.

Duties of the Trustee's

 

·   The Trustees shall form the body corporate by name and corporate title of Poplar Grove Baptist Church of Darnestown, Montgomery County MD and shall be charged with the responsibility of holding in trust the property of the church, but shall have no power to buy, mortgage, sell lease or transfer property without specific vote of the church authorizing such action.

·   The Trustees shall execute all deeds of conveyance, mortgages, contracts, or any other legal documents officially binding the church in accordance wither the will of the church as expressed in a business meeting whose purpose has been advertised.

·   They shall be responsible for the proper care and maintenance of the church property and grounds.

·   They shall obtain all necessary insurance upon the property and the personnel of the church.

·   They shall account for all monies, checks, bonds, collateral and other funds as provided for by the church in approved financial policies and procedures.

·   Ensure that all tax reports and fillings have been prepared by the Finance Committee.
